Divitel seminar: “Over-The-Top services; threat or opportunity?”
“Over-The-Top (OTT) describes the access to content and applications in video-environment where delivery takes place through alternatives rather than the most import (traditional) video-infrastructure as (live) video delivery through internet”.
June 2009. On Friday the 26th of June another Divitel Seminar was held. This time with a really strategic topic ‘Over-The-Top services; threat or opportunity?’. Divitel was pleased to have a large number of participants. Not surprising when you consider that the entire internet population are potential users of OTT!
Important aspects were highlighted by top speakers, such as the delivery of services; what’s needed, what are the opportunities and what are opportunities and threats?
